In another Tweet, Super Giants also revealed the story behind the logo, which has a bat, a ball, and two wings. The wings represent the Indian flag – Tricolor with a bat and ball in the center. Revealing the story behind the logo, Lucknow Super Giants said that the new logo has been inspired by ancient Indian mythology.
The Lucknow-based franchise credited mythical bird Garuda for inspiring the team to create a winged emblem. Notably, the logo in the logo, the body of the bird has a blue color bat, which signifies the game of cricket, while on the other hand, the red ball with an orange seam signifies ‘Jay Tilak’.
Lucknow Supergiants owner said,“we chose elements from the bowl, bat, bails and there’s an inspiration from the tricolour and the bird. We wanted to have cricket and country in our logo so that’s our combination”. (On Sports Today).
