His exclusion from the playing XI has become a topic of debate for the cricket experts and pundits. Several cricketers and pundits have come down hard with their opinions on this matter. The latest one to join the bandwagon is former Indian cricketer Irfan Pathan.

On Monday, Irfan Pathan took to Twitter and came up with a humorous Tweet about the exclusion of off-spinner Ravi Ashwin. Irfan left everyone in splits with his hilarious tweet, where he stated that Ashwin’s name has cropped up quite often during the ongoing series that no other cricketer is remembered as much in his lifetime. He wrote:

“ये सिरीज़ में जितनी हिचकियाँ अश्विन को आई होगी उतनी किसी को पूरी ज़िंदगी में शायद ही आई हो!”

(which roughly translates to: “The number of times Ashwin has been remembered this series, hardly anyone is remembered in their whole lifetime.”)

Meanwhile, the ongoing 4th Test match between England and India currently stands in an intriguing position with the England team needing 237 runs in 63 overs to win (at the time of publishing this article). It will be interesting to see the results as anything is possible right now – win, draw, loss, all three results are possible.
