Jaydev Unadkat Posted An Emotional Post For India’s National Selectors

The Indian cricket team is full of superstars, however, when it comes to left-arm pacers, it can be counted on fingertips. There are not many left-arm pacers in the country at the moment. One of the left-arm pacers that India has is Jaydev Unadkat, who is consistently performing well at the domestic level.

Though Jaydev Unadkat had bagged his international debut for team India on the basis of his consistent domestic performances, however, he couldn’t last long. Not just that, Jaydev Unadkat has only represented the Indian side in the longest format of the game only once in his career so far. He made his debut for team India

Recently, Jaydev Unadkat took to his Twitter and shared an emotional post. In his tweet, Jaydev made a special request to red ball, signifying Test format to give him another chance in the format as he promised to make it proud with his performance. He wrote:

Dear red ball, please give me one more chance.. I’ll make you proud, promise!”

Notably, the tweet also came after the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) postponed tournaments including the Ranji Trophy in the wake of rising noble Coronavirus cases in India. This would be the second consecutive time that domestic ball cricket will not be played in the country.

The Ranji Trophy & Col C K Nayudu Trophy were scheduled to begin this month while the Senior Women’s T20 League was scheduled to commence in February,” BCCI secretary Jay Shah stated in a press release, confirming the suspension of the tournaments.

“The BCCI will continue to assess the situation and take a call on the start of the tournaments accordingly,” Shah added.
