Pakistan Plays A Cheap Trick Ahead Of The T20 World Cup

The excitement around the upcoming T20 World Cup is increasing with every passing day that will kickstart shortly after the IPL 2021 ends. The T20 World Cup will take place from October 17 to November 14. Ahead of the mega event, franchises are unveiling their special jerseys for the tournament.

Even though the T20 World Cup is being hosted by the Indian board — BCCI but the tournament will take place in UAE and Oman owing to the pandemic in India. However, as per a social media leak, a controversy could erupt as Pakistan decided to print UAE 2021 on their special jersey instead of India 2021.

Well, such a bold step can irk the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) because as per the rules, all the franchises need to mention the name of the ICC event and the hosts on the top right of their jerseys.

As most of the teams have printed on their jerseys, instead of mentioning ‘ICC Men’s T20 World Cup India 2021′, a social media leak suggests that Pakistan’s jersey says ‘ICC Men’s T20 World Cup UAE 2021’. 

A picture of Pakistani captain Babar Azam wearing the special jersey for the upcoming T20 WC has been going crazily viral on social media. The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is yet to officially release their special jerseys for the tournament, it remains to be seen if controversy is sparked between the BCCI and the PCB over Pakistan’s childish behavior.

Meanwhile, if the rumors are confirmed then a quarrel between Pakistan’s board and the BCCI seems inevitable considering the two countries have had a longstanding political issue. The arch-rivals will be facing each other  in the T20 WC on October 24,
