Prithvi Shaw Shared Cryptic Post After Getting Snubbed From Team India Squad Yet Again
The BCCI announced squads for the limited-overs series against Sri Lanka on Tuesday, with Hardik Pandya being named as the skipper of the T20I squad. While Rohit Sharma returns to the side for ODIs, none of the top-3 – Rohit, Virat Kohli, and KL Rahul – were included in the T20I squad. Indian keeper-batter Rishabh Pant has been missing from both the T20I and ODI squads. There have also been some surprise omissions like Shikhar Dhawan and Sanju Samson from the ODI squad.
However, there is one name that continues to remain absent from the Indian squads and that is -- Prithvi Shaw.
The Mumbai opener, who had last played for India in a T20I against Sri Lanka in July 2021, has been snubbed once again for the national squad. With his excellent back-to-back performances in domestic cricket, young Indian opener Prithvi Shaw has been knocking on the doors of the Indian selectors, however, a selection call for the Indian side has eluded him. In IPL 2022, Shaw displayed his explosive batting skills, amassing 283 runs in 10 innings at a strike rate of 152.97 for the Delhi Capitals but the doors of the national call-up still remain close for the young opener.
Meanwhile, after not finding his name in the Indian squad for the upcoming white-ball series against Sri Lanka, Prithvi Shaw shared cryptic posts on his Instagram account. In his first Instagram story, Prithvi shared a post, which said: "Kisi ne muft me paa liya who shaqs, jisko mujhe har keemat par chahiye tha (The person that I wanted to be with, is now with someone else for free)."

In his second Instagram story, Prithvi shared a video of sage Gaur Gopal Das, who said the following words, "If someone is smiling it doesn’t mean they are happy in their life. Happiness is never automatic, Problems are automatic. One chooses Positivity, love, and Happiness. Anger, hate, and Negativity."
