Rashid Latif Slams PCB For Putting Up A Super-Fail Show: The Pakistan Cricket Board has been receiving a lot of criticism and trolling after they indefinitely postponed the ongoing season of the Pakistan Super League after the outbreak of COVID-19 in the bio-secure bubble. Only 14 out of 34 games were played in Karachi before the event was eventually called off. As many as 7 members including 6 cricketers and a staff member were tested positive for Coronavirus.
Several former and current Pakistani cricketers have come forward to slam PCB for its incompetency. The latest one to join the bandwagon is the former Test cricketer Rashid Latif, who slammed PCB for its incompetency and for deteriorating the country’s image worldwide.
Well, recently, talking to PTV Sports, the cricketer-turned-analyst said that the head of Pakistan Super League should be sacked for the irresponsible behavior. He said:
“Sorry to say but it seems like the PSL’s head has never organized even a tape ball tournament. He should be sacked for his incompetency,”
He added:
“How can you give such a big tournament and whole Pakistan’s cricket management in someone’s hand who doesn’t have the experience of it,”
He also claimed that there is a need to hire special people for this job who can deal smartly. He said:
“There is a need to hire specialist people. Competent people who can deal smartly with such things,”
Earlier, legendary Pakistan cricketer Shoaib Akhtar also lashed out at PCB’s medical panel and the current PCB chairman Ehsan Mani. He had said:
“It is time for blame-game. But you have to admit that this the responsibility of the medical panel and the bio-secure bubble should have been properly maintained. There should be strict inquiry against the medical panel… The medical panel should not be spared. The medical panel should be punished and I request the higher authorities because they played with the lives of the people.”
