Ravi Shastri Reveals Hardik Pandya’s Strongest Point: The sensational Indian all-rounder was the man of the match for his impeccable effort in the T20I series. During the T20I series, he hammered 78 runs in three matches at a strike rate of 156, including a scintillating 42 not out off 22 balls as team India won the second T20I at Sydney.
Hardik Pandya was exceptionally well in both the ODI and T20I series that cricket experts and critics wondered why he wasn’t retained for the upcoming four-match Test series against Australia.
Recently, the Indian head-coach Ravi Shastri was all praises for the ‘batsman’ Hardik Pandya and left-arm seamer T Natarajan for special praise following Indian’s T20I win against Australia by 2-1. Terming Hardik Pandya as one of the ‘cleanest strikers’ of the ball, Shastri said:
“Winning the T20s without Rohit and Bumrah was a huge achievement. What’s essentially working beautifully for this team is players standing up to these responsibilities. In that, Hardik has been a natural. His game awareness is second to none. He’s one of the cleanest strikers of the ball I’ve seen in the game.”
While team India was expecting the likes of Virat Kohli or Yuzvendra Chahal to deliver the match-winning performances and take India to the winning side, it was Hardik Pandya and T Natarajan emerged out as the two match-winners for the Men in Blue, leading them to victory in the shortest format of the game.
Talking about Natarajan, he was the highest wicket-taker in the T20Is as he picked 6 wickets at a strike rate of 12 and at an economy rate of 6.91.
Meanwhile, after the limited-overs series came to an end, all eyes are now on the upcoming four-match Test series between India and Australia, which will be starting from December 17.
