Rishabh Pant Himself Revealed How His Crashed In An Accident

The cricket fraternity woke up on Friday with a shocking and distressing news of the Indian wicket-keeper Rishabh Pant suffering severe injuries in a car crash on National Highway 58, near his hometown of Roorkee, Uttarakhand. 

It is understood that the accident took place in the early hours of Friday (December 30) between Manglaur and Narsan in the Haridwar district.

Rishabh Pant was returning to New Delhi.

According to a recent report in ANI, Rishabh Pant was given primary treatment at the Roorkee Civil Hospital before he was shifted to the Max Hospital in Dehradun.

VVS Laxman, the chief of the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bengaluru, where Pant reportedly was supposed to undergo some strength and conditioning work after being omitted from the Sri Lanka matches, tweeted that Pant was out of danger.

“Praying for Rishabh Pant. Thankfully he is out of danger. Wishing @RishabhPant17 a very speedy recovery. Get well soon Champ,” Laxman tweeted.

Rishabh Pant suffered head and leg injuries in the accident, the pictures of which have also gone viral on social media.

Rishabh Pant dozed off while driving!

"Indian cricketer Rishabh Pant's car met with an accident at around 5:30 am," Director General of Uttarakhand Police, Ashok Kumar, was quoted as saying by NDTV. "The incident took place at Mohammedpur Jat near Roorkee. According to what Pant said, he dozed off while driving and as a result the car collided with the divider and caught fire. He was moved to the Roorkee hospital from where he has now been shifted to Dehradun."

Veteran journalist Boria Majumdar, though, tweeted that Pant might need a plastic surgery, and the cricketer could even have a fracture on his leg.

“Being moved to Max hospital. Might need plastic surgery. Not clear if there is a fracture on his leg. Stitches required on his head,” Boria Majumdar tweeted.

The 25-year-old recently helped India win the Test series in Bangladesh. Pant was not picked up for the upcoming ODI and T20I series against Sri Lanka, and instead, was told to report to the NCA for Strength & Conditioning work ahead of the Test series against Australia scheduled to begin on February 9.
