India’s pace sensation Jasprit Bumrah made a solid return with a fiery spell on Day 2 as he picked up five wickets to help team India bowl out Sri Lanka for 109 early in the ongoing second Test match at the Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bangalore.

The Dimuth Karunaratne-led Sri Lankan cricket team was already struggling after resuming at 86-6 in response to India’s 252. India managed to dismiss the visitors inside half an hour during the first session on Day 2 to concede a lead of 143 runs.

Jasprit Bumrah picked two more wickets on Day 2 to his first day’s tally of 3 wickets as he dismissed overnight batsmen Lasith Embuldeniya for one and Niroshan Dickwella for 21.

This was Bumrah’s eighth 5-wicket haul in 29 Tests and also his first five-wicket haul at home. Achieving this feat, Jasprit has now emulated former Indian skipper Kapil Dev.
