And fans from around the world celebrated his special day like a festival. Social media was buzzing all day with tweets and posts from fans, celebrities, and cricketers to people from all walks of life. Virat Kohli celebrated his 34th birthday with the Indian cricket team in Australia, where they are plying their trade in the ongoing ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2022. 

In a video shared by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), Kohli was seen cutting a cake with the Men in Blue and team staff in the dressing room ahead of India's training session at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) before their must-win clash against Zimbabwe on Sunday. Later, the Indian media contingent surprised Kohli by bringing a cake into the stadium for him.

Indian cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar has become the latest to wish Kohli. Tendulkar took to Instagram and shared a heartfelt wish for Kohli and wrote: "Dear Virat, as you blow out the candles in the middle of a World Cup, your wish will be the same as that of all Indians around the globe.Have a wonderful birthday and wish you all the very best!"

Talking about the ongoing T20 World Cup 2022, Kohli has been in some exceptional form with three half-centuries in 4 games so far. The former skipper is the second highest run-scorer of the tournament, having scored 220 runs in four games. He has been dismissed just once in the competition so far.
