New Zealand’s left-arm pacer Trent Boult is raring to make a solid comeback on-field after recovering from a fractured hand. In the upcoming two-match Test series against New Zealand, Trent Boult aims to take down Virat Kohli and send him back to pavilion in the first match that will take place in Wellington starting February 21.
Trent Boult who last appeared against Australia in the Boxing Day Test last year was ruled out of the limited-overs series against India after he faced an injury. He has been out of action for the past six months.
Ahead of the upcoming Test series, Trent Boult talked about how he play the game only to get players like Virat Kohli out. He also praised the Indian skipper, he said:
“That’s personally why I play the game, to get guys like that (Kohli) out and test myself against them, so I can’t wait to get stuck in. But he’s an exceptional player. Everyone knows how great he is,”

Talking about how he is preparing himself for the solid wicket, he said:
“I’m preparing for a solid wicket. It generally is very good here and goes the full distance (five days). I do enjoy playing here, the history that’s involved, and it’s going to be an exciting week building up. I can’t wait to get out there,”
He added:
“I think it is what it is. I have just got to put the last six or so weeks behind me and just back myself to get out there and do my thing,”
Expressing his excitement about the upcoming series against India, he said:
“I am hungry to be here and can’t wait to get back in the white and get the red ball moving around,”
