Indian pacer Mohammed Siraj has impressed one and all with his performance in the ongoing Test series against Australia. In the ongoing fourth and final Test match at the Gabba, Siraj, who was leading the bowling attack, picked up his maiden 5-wicket haul in the last innings of his first-ever Test series.
On Day 4 of the 4th Test at the Gabba in Brisbane, Siraj finished the day with the magical figures of 5/73. With only one wicket left to end the second innings of Australia, Siraj eventually completed his five-wicket haul by dismissing tailender Josh Hazlewood.
With this special feat. Siraj has become only the 5th Indian bowler to pick up a 5-wicket haul at the Gabba. Siraj joined an elite list of bowlers including Erapalli Prasanna, Bishan Singh Bedi, Madan Lal, and Zaheer Khan. Siraj also has the 3rd best figures for an Indian in Brisbane.
On day 4 of the 4th match, Indian pacer Shardul Thakur and Mohammed Siraj ran through the entire Australian batting order with an exception of David Warner’s wicket, which was picked by Washington Sundar.
Siraj has even topped the list of bowlers with the most wickets for India in the ongoing Border-Gavaskar series, He finished with 13 wickets from 3 matches, 1 more than R Ashwin, who was suspended due to a back injury.
