After India lost both openers early it was the South African bowlers versus Pujara’s patience. Cheteshwar Pujara who got run out in both the innings at The Centurion took 54 deliveries to get off the mark at Johannesburg.

India won the toss and Virat Kohli chose to bat first even though the pitch was perfect to have a bowl first. The start was a nightmare as India was reduced to 13 for two after both the openers departed early. Then Pujara and Virat Kohli anchored the Indian innings providing some stability.

Cheteshwar Pujara Hits A Half Century Of Dot Balls

Cheteshwar Pujara showed a great temperament against the lethal South African attack ever since his advent at the crease. Pujara made a half-century of dot deliveries and got off the mark on the 54th ball he faced. As Pujara got off the mark on his 54th delivery, there was a laugh on relief on his face and even the Indian dressing room laughed about it.

Once Pujara got off the mark it was all funny scenes at the Wanderers as everyone from the Indian dressing room celebrated Pujara’s first run. Even Pujara had a big laugh of relief on his face and the spectators hooted as if Pujara has reached his century.

It would have been really the butt of jokes had Pujara got out for a duck having faced so many deliveries. The pitch at Johannesburg has been doing a lot and with the kind of bowling attack, South Africa has it has been a real struggle for the Indian batsman.

TWITTER TROLLS PUJARA

Twitter has always been savage and spares none. Pujara has been trolled heavily by Twitter for his turtle innings and taking 54 deliveries to get off the mark. Some really hilarious trolls on Pujara’s ultra slow innings are breaking the internet and these are just so hilarious to resist.
