India has dominated the second innings so far and looks in a great position to give the hosts a challenging total to chase in the fourth innings. Indian batsmen have shown great intent even though life has been really tough for the Indian batsmen given how nasty the Wanderers pitch has been acting.

Nasty Pitch, Injured Batsmen
Almost every Indian batsman has taken the brunt of the nasty and dangerous behaviour the pitch at the Wanderers has been showing. We saw Murali Vijay being hit, Pujara taking a blow, Kohli being hit badly on the glove and than Ajinkya Rahane being clobbered on the elbow. The Indian batsman have bravely confronted the nasty blows that have come India’s way and despite being hurt badly they have not lost their determination and concentration.

The bounce at the pitch has been very odd and the umpires had to halt play time and again and watch the pitch. South Africa would have disappointed so far as their bowlers have not been at their best. Ajinkya Rahane and Virat Kohli led the Indian counter attack and after Kohli got out for 41, Ajinkya Rahane, the vice captain has been the anchor of the Indian innings as India takes a hefty lead over the Proteas.
Twitter Roasts The Pitch At Wanderers
Twitter has been savage yet again and this time it’s the pitch at the Wanderers which becomes the victim of Twitter trolls and roast.
Ok… now I am hiding behind the chair watching this match. If it’s too dangerous to play… then India should win the game.. the pitch is the responsibility of the Home Team!

On a treacherous pitch,@imVkohli has batted like a dada

Very naughty pitch but so far India have found a way to survive. Umpires have begun looking at it closely

Scratch the ‘pitch not as spicy anymore’ bit please. ?
It’s a minefield of a different kind. If Pune and Nagpur were doctored, this one is too. Without doubt. #SAvIND— Aakash Chopra (@cricketaakash) January 26, 2018
Now an added element to this Test match. The pitch. We could be a matter of ‘couple of blows on the body’ away from this match getting called off.

Michael Holding gives this pitch 2 on 100 and he is spot on. This is nonsense. Unfair game. Is the @ICC listening? People can get hurt.
