Rohit Sharma’s poor run of form only worsened as he got out for a duck in the third ODI at Cape Town. After India was asked to bat first by Aiden Markram, Rohit Sharma was sent back to the pavilion in the very first over by Kagiso Rabada. Rohit’s form has been an issue ever since the test series and it only gets worse.
India has registered comprehensive wins in the first two ODIs and now they are the favourite claimants of the series. The team has looked good especially the bowling department. It’s almost as if the young duo of Kuldeep Yadav and Yuzvendra Chahal has left South African batsman struggling for answers.
As far as the batting department is concerned, Virat Kohli has carried his stellar form in the ODI series as well. In the very first ODI, he scored a blistering century as India chased down the total of 270.
ROHIT SHARMA: THE CAUSE OF WORRY FOR INDIA
He’s immensely talented and one of the greatest ODI players undoubtedly. But he has struggled in South Africa big time and has not been among runs ever since the test series. He’s got 3 double tons which make an unbelievable achievement but his past achievements are surely not helping the team’ present as well as future. He has only scored 35 runs from three matches including the duck today.
TWITTER SLAMS ROHIT SHARMA SAVAGELY
Twitter is now savagely slamming Rohit Sharma for his poor run of form. Twitter feels that Rohit should rather retire from overseas tours. This wicket at Cape Town looks a perfect one to bat on and Virat and Dhawan have batted beautifully but Rohit could only manage a duck. Twitter is not sparing Rohit Sharma by any means.
Here is how Twitter slammed Rohit Sharma
