Twitterati Are Not Happy With Virat Kohli For Resting Mohammed Shami: The Indian cricket team is currently locking their horns with the New Zealanders in the ongoing second off three ODI matches at the Eden Park in Auckland. The Indian skipper was expected to come up with the best squad as it was a do-or-die match for Team India, however, Virat has found himself and the team in the brink of losing their first bilateral ODI series in New Zealand in 6 years.
India’s decision to ‘rest’ pacer Mohammed Shami in the second ODI has raised many eyebrows, considering the current brilliant form of the Indian bowler and how important the match is today. Fast bowler Navdeep Saini has replaced Mohammed Shami in the playing squad while Shardul Thakur continues to hold onto his position in the playing squad.

Besides resting Mohammed Shami, Virat Kohli led team saw two more changes in the bowling attack. Kuldeep Yadav, who conceded 84 runs in the previous match, has been replaced by Yuzvendra Chahal.
Virat’s decision of considering Shardul Thakur, who conceded 80 runs in 9 overs, instead of Mohammed Shami, who turned out to be one of the better bowlers with the figures of 63/1, didn’t go down well with the Indian fans, who are now questioning the team management for their selection and are trolling them left, right and center on Twitter.
Harbhajan Singh also questioned the decision of the team for resting Mohammed Shami in such an important match. Talking to Star Sports in the pre-match show, Harbhajan Singh said:
“I don’t why he (Shami) is not playing,”
Here, check out the reactions of Twitterati on this:

Mohammed Shami is one of the best fast bowlers and he has done very well in the recent past. Why Saini is preferred ahead of #Shami? Why shardul is preferred ahead of shami? pic.twitter.com/KzWe7kDS6F

Navdeep Saini has bowled perfectly well today but again in the next game he’ll be axed if they’re planning to bring Shami because Shardul Thakur performed today, don’t know but somehow Thakur manages to deliver that good spell in 3-4 matches and seal his spot again for few.
