Indian cricketers including Virat Kohli, Ravichandran Ashwin, and many others, have been quite vocal in suggesting people to follow the guidelines and norms suggested by the government in this period of crisis.
Ravichandran Ashwin’s cheeky appeal to the fellow Indians

Indian cricketer Ravichandran Ashwin has been highly active on Social media, suggesting people about the need to stay safe and indoors. In a recent tweet made by Ashwin, the off-spinner referred to one of his highly talked-about cricketing incident from IPL 2019. Exactly a year ago, Ashwin, the captain of Kings XI Punjab in 2019, was involved in a Mankad-ing incident in Punjab’s season opener against Rajasthan Royals in Jaipur.

In that match, Ashwin ran out Jos Buttler while the latter was trying to gain an advantage by leaving his crease even before the ball was delivered at the non-striker’s end. Referring to the same incident, Ashwin suggested his followers not wander out for any reason and stay home in order to fight this pandemic.
