Faf Du Plessis’s army couldn’t give an impressive performance in this test series and the series turned out to be one-sided series.

On the other hand, Sri Lankan cricketers are giving their best of the performances in all the three formats of the game. They are giving the players of South Africa a run for their money.

It was a major win for the Sri Lankan team in the first match of the series as they won the match by 214 runs, beating South Africa brutally. In the second match, the South African team lost the battle with 15 runs. The third match was won by Sri Lanka by a huge margin of 199 runs.

Keshav Maharaj, the stunning bowler of Proteas has been giving some extra-ordinary performances with the ball. He shattered records with career’s best test records. He took 9-129 against Sri Lanka. He has been one of the major reasons to restrict the Sri Lankan team from scoring whopping numbers at the scoreboard.

In the third match, the openers of Sri Lankan team, Danushka Gunathilaka and Dimuth Karunaratne gave a stunning performance and a power packed performance, scoring 61 and 85 runs respectively. Angelo Mathews also gave an amazing performance and scored 71 runs smashing 7 fours.

Talking about the Proteas team, Theunis de Bruyn scored 101 runs but in 232 balls. It was a slow knock or rather a slow innings from the Proteas side.

However, the twitterati have been trolling AB de Villiers for the poor performance of South Africa in this series. Here, have a look at how twitter reacted :
