Twitterati Are Trolling Ajinkya Rahane After Bizarre Run-Out Of Rishabh Pant: Team India had a bad start on Day 2 of the First Test match against New Zealand as they were able to add up only 43 runs losing the remaining 5 wickets cheaply to New Zealand’s bowling attack. The Indian cricket team was bundled up at the total score of 165 in their first innings.
Though, yesterday and in the morning, the overnight batsmen Ajinkya Rahane and Rishabh Pant looked solid during their 103 ball-stand for the 6th wicket and it was expected that they will take the total score to new heights, however, a bizarre run-out turned the tables for team India, shattering all our hopes into bits and pieces.
The bizarre run-out cost Rishabh Pant his wicket that ultimately resulted in the collapse of batting line-up of team India ahead of the New Zealanders as Team India lost the remaining 5 wickets in only 33 balls.
Well, the bizarre run-out happened in the 59th over of the Indian innings. Ajinkya Rahane was all geared up for a single after he dropped the ball to the points region. Rishabh Pant too followed the suit and took a couple of steps to realize that Ajaz Patel was reaching towards the ball fast and yelled a big ‘No’ towards Ajinkya Rahane.

However, Ajinkya Rahane kept running towards the non-striker’s end and was guilty of ball-watching. This eventually led to the dismissal of Rishabh Pant as Ajaz Patel’s soft throw flicked the bails off.
Surprisingly, it is the first time in the glorious career of Ajinkya Rahane, who is hailed as the modern “wall” in the longest format of the game, that he was involved in a run-out dismissal.
As soon as Rishabh Pant made his way towards the pavilion, fans had already flooded the social media with their reactions on it.
