Twitterati Are Trolling Delhi Capitals For Buying Axar Patel For INR 5 Crores

Last season, before the auctions Axar Patel was the only player who was retained by the Kings XI Punjab. However, he had a very bad season that left everyone disappointing. In the complete season, he could only manage to score 80 runs with a strike rate of 116. But that’s not all, with the ball as well, he disappointed ever more and could take only 3 wickets in the whole tournament.

Therefore, Kings XI Punjab decided to part ways with him, after a collaboration of five years and didn’t retain him in this season. He was put back into the auction pool. But the team tried to acquire him back in the team in the auctions but this time at a bargain price.

When the bid for Axar Patel started, it were Kings XI Punjab who bid for him first but there was a tough competition from Delhi Capitals, and both the teams had quite an intense bidding war for Axar Patel but at the end, Delhi Capitals bought him for a whopping amount of INR 5 crores, ending Axar’s 5 year long collaboration with KXIP.

However, the fans are left stunned after the team bought him for such a high price. The fans have took to twitter and are trolling the team.
