Twitterati Are Trolling Prithvi Shaw After He Hit Rohit Sharma With A Throw

India’s young batsman Prithvi Shaw once again found himself at the receiving end of criticism and trolling after he hit Rohit Sharma with a throw as team India struggled on-field once again. Shaw, who was fielding in place of injured Navdeep Saini, struck Rohit Sharma while attempting to throw the ball at the bowler’s end during the second session on Day 1 of the fourth Test match at the Gabba.

It happened in the 53rd over of the Australian innings, when Marnus flicked the ball to mid-wicket, where Prithvi Shaw was standing.  Shaw picked up the ball and aimed his throw at the non-striker’s end as Australia looked for a single run. However, Shaw’s aim was off and it eventually hit Rohit Sharma, who had to take evasive action to avoid being struck on the chest.

With team India’s injuries mounting, one can only imagine how series a blow it would have been if Rohit was hit on his chest. Though, he showed some quick reflexes to avoid getting seriously hurt, but he looked visibly annoyed. However, he didn’t say anything to the young batsman.

The video of the same has been going viral on social media. Here, watch the video:

Meanwhile, fans were not at all happy with the misdirect throw by Shaw and are slamming him left, right, and center for giving another injury scare to India.

Meanwhile, India began the day really well in the field with Rohit, who has had an eventful day on the field at the Gabba. First, he took a stunner by diving full to his right to get rid of David Warner for just 1 run. Later, he caught one to dismiss the dangerous Steve Smith for 36, handing Washington Sundar his maiden Test wicket on the day of his debut.
