Twitterati Are Trolling Rohit Sharma After He Was Dismissed For A Golden Duck

Mumbai Indians skipper Rohit Sharma failed to perform once again as he was dismissed off his first ball by Ravichandran Ashwin in the first Qualifier in Dubai. This is the second successive failure with the bat for Rohit since he returned back on-field from his hamstring injury, which kept him away from the MI playing XI for 4 games.

A lot has already been said and written about the fitness of the cricketer off-lately. He was also excluded from the squad for the upcoming tour to Australia. However, he left everyone shocked when he returned back to the ground for Mumbai Indians. But he hasn’t been able to give the best of his capabilities.

This happened on the second over of the Qualifier 1 between Mumbai Indians and Delhi Capitals, when R Ashwin trapped Rohit Sharma in front of the middle stumps to get rid of him with a golden duck.

Interestingly this was the 13th time that Rohit got out without scoring a run in the IPL. With this, Rohit has equaled an unfortunate record of the most ducks scored in the IPL and he will be sharing this record with the Chennai Super Kings off-spinner Harbhajan Singh and Royal Challengers Bangalore opener Parthiv Patel.

Meanwhile, fans were left heartbroken after Rohit Sharma failed to perform once again and social media was soon flooded with reactions on the same. The debate on his ‘fitness’ has started once again.
