Twitterati Are Trolling Virat Kohli After His Poor Show In First Test Against New Zealand

The horror run of the Indian skipper Virat Kohli against New Zealand continues in the ongoing first Test match against New Zealand as well after he failed to make it big with the bat in Wellington. The ongoing tour to New Zealand has turned out more like a nightmare for the Indian skipper as he managed to score just a single fifty across 8 innings in all 3 the formats of the game.

In the first Test match against New Zealand today, everyone was expecting Virat Kohli to perform well to take team India to a safer side, however, Virat was dismissed cheaply after scoring only 2 runs off 7 deliveries by debutant Kyle Jamieson extending a rare lull in the batsman’s stellar career.

In fact, after losing the toss, the match started on a bad note for team India as not just Virat Kohli but Indian batting line-up collapsed ahead of New Zealanders in quick successions. Failing to give a good start to team India, Indian openers Prithvi Shaw and Mayank Agarwal were dismissed early after scoring just 16 and 34 respectively.

Their wickets were followed by Cheteshwar Pujara, who was also dismissed by debutant Kyle Jamieson after he scored 11 off 42 balls.

Walking to bat at number 4, Virat Kohli failed to impress as he got out chasing a widish delivery. The last time he encountered such a poor run with the bat was back in the year 2014. This is the second time in eleven years since Virat Kohli has not been able to score a century in 19 innings.

The fans are disappointed with the way Indian batsmen were bundled up by the New Zealanders and are now taking to Twitter to express their disappointment via Tweets.
