What a brilliant performance by Mumbai Indians as they won their first match of the ongoing IPL 2021 campaign. Rohit Sharma led Mumbai Indians have the reputation of making the small targets look like a difficult task to the opposition team. If defending small targets is an art, then Rohit Sharma, the skipper is the Picasso of it and he was at it again.

Rohit Sharma proved why he is hailed as one of the best T20 captains as he pulled things back out of nowhere in the last 6 overs. Initially, it looked like KKR would win this game, however, Mumbai Indians stole this game from the jaws of defeat. At one point in time, the team found itself in a seemingly hopeless position, and then they did the unthinkable.

Chasing a target of 153 runs, KKR got off to a good start with Shubman Gill and Nitish Rana starting the game with a 72-run stand before Gill departed. Rana tried his best to dictate the chase as wickets kept falling at the other end. However, as soon as Rana was dismissed, their batting line-up collapsed. The reputed finishers came short against Mumbai’s talented bowlers and eventually, KKR threw the game.
