Cricket is finally coming back after a long gap led by COVID-19 pandemic as the much-awaited Caribbean Premier League (CPL) finally kickstarted yesterday. It was a great start to the 2020 edition of the CPL with the two favorites — Trinbago Knight Riders and Guyana Amazon Warriors, dishing out an entertaining game yesterday.
After winning the toss, the Knight Riders opted to field first and immediately got the desired result, with the early wicket of Brandon King.
During the game, Kieron Pollard-led Trinbago Knight Riders won the match against Guyana Amazon Warriors b 4 wickets at the Brian Lara Stadium. However, one of the most amazing performances came from Sunil Narine.
Sunil Narine, who couldn’t leave a mark with his performance in the 2019 edition of CPL because of his finger injury, on Tuesday, Sunil Narine delivered a match-winning performance to take his team Trinbago Knight Riders (TKR) to a four-wicket win over their opponents Guyana Amazon Warriors in the opening match of the 2020 Hero CPL.
Sunil Narine impressed one and all with both bat and ball. Narina grabbed two for 19 in four overs as Amazon Warriors scored 144 for five in 17 overs as he opened the game for his team.
Opening for TKR, Sunil Narine gave a match-winning knock of 50 as TKR got to 147/6 in 16.4 overs. During his impressive knock, he smashed 2 fours and 4 sixes.
