From getting booed and listening to the chants of “Dhoni, Dhoni” on his every mistake to making them chant his name, Rishabh Pant has finally made a solid comeback in the first ODI against West Indies.
Well, Rishabh Pant has been under the scanner of critics for a long time because of his inconsistency. He was converting every opportunity given to him to failure. Rishabh Pant also failed to deceive in the just concluded T20Is against the West Indies, where he scored only 51 runs.
In the decider T20I against West Indies, Rishabh Pant scored a duck and as a result, he was brutally trolled by netizens who reckoned that Sanju Samson should have been given the opportunity instead of Rishabh Pant.

However, he has now made a stunning comeback and scored a 69-ball 71 at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.
Rishabh Pant came into bat after India had already lost its prominent players including skipper Virat Kohli and openers KL Rahul and Rohit Sharma in the first 20 overs. Rishabh Pant had an ample amount of time to get his form back.
The wicketkeeper-batsman left everyone stunned as he smashed the bowlers of West Indies to all the corners of the ground. Rishabh started slowly and gave support to Shreyas Iyer, who has been in a great form ever since he returned to the Indian squad. Rishabh and Shreyas, both the batsmen brought back the much-needed momentum needed by the Indian team.

Rishabh Pant went on to score 71 runs in 69 balls. He smashed 7 fours and 1 six as he won the hearts of Indian cricket fans again.
