Indian ace spinner Axar Patel took the cricket Twitter by storm after picking up yet another five-wicket haul in Test cricket. The left-arm spinner picked 5 wickets during the ongoing 1st Test match between India and New Zealand at Green Park, Kanpur. The ace spinner bagged his fifth five-wicket haul in just seven innings.

Axar Patel picked 5 wickets for 62 runs in New Zealand’s first innings as he led the way to restrict the Kiwis to gain a crucial 49-run lead in the first innings.

Axar started the day with a brilliant note by dismissing Ross Taylor on 11 runs to leave New Zealand at 214/3. Soon, he got rid of Henry Nicholls on 2 runs. Tom Latham became his third target, who was stumped brilliantly by KS Bharat on 95 runs. In his next spell, Axar dismissed NZ’s stumper Tom Blundell on 13 and finally, he completed his fifer by sending Tim Southee back to the pavilion on 5 runs.

Meanwhile, as soon as the day came to an end social media was already flooded with amazing reactions from the netizens to it. From cricketers, experts to fans, everyone took to social media to laud the performance of Axar Patel. There were many who came up with hilarious memes while appreciating the efforts of Patel.

Here, check out the reactions of Twitterati on this:

Brilliant effort from the Indian bowlers to restrict the Kiwis to 296. Dream run in Tests continues for Axar Patel. 5 Five wicket haul in his first 4 Tests is an extraordinary effort. India need to bat well tomorrow & a lead of 225-250 will be challenging for the Kiwis. #IndvsNZ pic.twitter.com/tLPjDJbKUd
