IPL 2020: After a long wait, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) finally revealed the schedule for the upcoming edition of the Indian Premier League today.
The 13th edition of the Indian Premier League will kickstart with an opening clash between two of the most successful IPL teams — defending champions Mumbai Indians and last year’s runners-up Chennai Super Kings (CSK).
There were reports that CSK has been moved out of the IPL 2020 owing to how late they have started training for the league after their quarantine session was extended for a few days as 13 members from their franchise were tested positive for Coronavirus. However, BCCI decided to go with the same schedule.
Following the season opener clash between CSK and MI is a game between Delhi Capitals and Kings XI Punjab followed by a clash between the Royal Challengers Bangalore are seen inaction of the third day of IPL 2020 against Sunrisers Hyderabad.
The upcoming edition of the league will see 10 double-headers, with the group stages concluding on 3rd November.
Soon after the schedule for IPL 2020 was announced, social media went into a frenzy. While there were many who criticized BCCI for taking so long to announce the schedule, on the other hand, there were many who expressed their excitement over the fact that the league is finally returning.
