Twitterati React After Jasprit Bumrah Dropped An Easy Catch

Twitterati React After Jasprit Bumrah Dropped An Easy Catch: India and Australia are currently involved in the first pink-ball game of the four-match Border Gavaskar Trophy at Adelaide Oval. The Indian cricket team was bowled out on 244 runs after the side added 11 runs, losing the remaining 4 wickets early on Day 2.

Later on, All thanks to the magical spell of Jasprit Bumrah, the Indian cricket started off brilliantly by dismissing Matthew Wade (9) and Joe Burns (8) without much damage. Jasprit Bumrah gave the Indian cricket team an upper hand in the game and the Australian cricket team was left at 35/2, trailing India by 209 runs.

This is when Jasprit Bumrah dropped a simple catch to give Australian batsman Marnus Labuschagne a huge reprieve. This was a golden chance for team India to get the wicket of Labuschagne however, Jasprit Bumrah misread the trajectory of the boundary and made a half-hearted effort, eventually dropping the perfect catch.

It happened on the last delivery of the 18th over when Labuschagne’s effort of pulling a delivery from Mohammed Shami saw him top-edging the delivery towards the fine-leg.

That was an easy catch as Jasprit had to just move a few steps to his right to complete the catch, however, he became extra-cautious of the boundary behind him. In an attempt to throw the ball back into the playing area, Bumrah ended up ruining the perfect catch and giving away a boundary.

The video of the same was posted by Cricket Australia via their official Twitter handle. Here, watch the video:
