Rohit Sharma Mimics Harbhajan Singh’s Bowling Action: Joe Root, scored a double century as England dominated day 2 by making Indian bowlers toil on the 2nd Day of the first Test match in Chennai.  On Day 2, England headed to Tea in a dominant position as Root brought his 5th double century.

Joe Root was batting on 209 while newcomer Ollie Pope had settled into his innings (24 not out) after Ben Stokes became the only batsmen to get dismissed in the first two sessions of Day 2.

After watching the mainstream Indian bowlers struggle against England batsman, Indian skipper Virat Kohli decided to give the ball to Rohit Sharma just before the tea break. Soon, it became one of the most talking points on social media.

Rohit Sharma, who hardly bowls, surprised one and all after he mimicked veteran off-spinner Harbhajan Singh’s bowling action. Delivered by Rohit, the ball turned out to be a full-toss to Joe Root, who picked up a single and retained the strike.

Following his bowling action, everyone. including the Indian skipper Virat Kohli and England skipper Joe Root, were left with a smile on their face as they all headed towards the dressing room after another tough session on-field.

The video of the same has been going viral on social media. Rohit Sharma bowling has become one of the best moments from day 2 of the ongoing 1st Test match.
