Ever since the World Cup last year, the England all-rounding star Ben Stokes is currently at the peak of his career. He has been transforming everything to gold with his touch. Recently, during the second test against West Indies, Ben Stokes once again set another example of his supremacy as he scored 254 runs in two innings and picked three wickets as well.
Ben Stokes is a brilliant all-rounder and he never fails to amaze us with his superhuman stuff. What he did on the final day was something that perfectly reflects his fitness and commitment to the game.
Frustrated with the amazing partnership of Jermaine Blackwood and Shamarh Brooks in the middle of a fine 100-run partnership, skipper Joe Root came up with an attacking field with no one at mid-on.
The amazing incident took place in the 43rd over of the innings when Ben Stokes was in the middle of a long spell. With six more wickets needed for victory, Blackwood sensed a chance to earn a boundary.
Blackwood smashed the length delivery from Stokes down the ground. As there was no fielder there, the ball was racing towards the boundary and unlike most bowlers, Ben Stokes decided to field the ball and ran so swiftly that he managed to stop the ball before it touched the boundary line. Regardless of the outcome, Ben Stokes made an exceptional effort to save the boundary.
