Twitterati Troll Rishabh Pant After KL Rahul Starts As Wicket-Keeper Vs New Zealand

KL Rahul, the Indian cricketer has gained all the limelight and has impressed one and all with his brilliant wicket-keeping skills and astonishing batting in the recently-concluded ODI series against Australia.

Ever since MS Dhoni took a sabbatical from the International scene of the game, Virat Kohli led Team India were struggling behind the stumps. KL Rahul, who is currently in his best-ever form has come out as a blessing in disguise for the Indian team after he donned the wicket-keeping gloves. KL Rahul replaced Rishabh Pant after Pant suffered from a concussion during the ODI.

MS Dhoni was replaced by Rishabh Pant after the conclusion of ICC World Cup 2019. The BCCI backed Rishabh Pant for a long time and gave ‘n’ number of opportunities to the youngster, however, Rishabh Pant disappointed everyone as he couldn’t convert the opportunities into success. His woeful performances with the bat and gloves brought him under the scanner. He was receiving criticism from all the corners.

Recently, Virat Kohli also opened up about the same and he backed KL Rahul this time for ongoing India vs New Zealand series. Comparing KL Rahul to ‘the Wall’ Rahul Dravid, Virat said that KL Rahul’s keeping brings balance to the game. He said:

“It (Rahul’s keeping) definitely allows us to play an extra batsman which strengthens our batting massively. That is a very important factor as far as the team balance is concerned. If you look at the 2003 World Cup when Rahul bhai started keeping, the balance became different because you could play an extra batter and guys at the top could really play positive cricket”

Now as soon as the match began at Eden Garden and KL Rahul walked in as the new wicket-keeper for Team India, twitterati started trolling Rishabh Pant hilariously.
