Rishabh Pant, once again, became a subject of intense scrutiny after he failed to leave a mark in the T20I series decider against West Indies in Wankhade Stadium of Mumbai on Wednesday. The wicket-keeper’s batsmen innings lasted just 2 balls as the youngster departed for 0.
Well, the Indian wicket-keeper, Rishabh Pant has been on the target of critics for a long time now because of his inconsistency. He is facing non-stop criticism from the last couple of months. And once again, he disappointed his fans and failed to prove his worth. Pant has scored just 252 runs from 16 matches at an average of 21.00 in 2019.
Team India was asked to bat first after, West Indies won the toss. After the departure of India openers, KL Rahul and Rohit Sharma put on 135 runs in just 11.4 overs in a thrilling show, Rishabh Pant came into bat.
With India needed someone to hit some hard-hitting shots, Rishabh Pant failed to trouble the scorers. Rishabh Pant tried to hit Hayden Walsh over the long-on boundary and eventually had to walk back to the dressing room after he was caught out.
