President of BCCI and former Indian skipper, Sourav Ganguly is one of the most loved cricketers of India, who over the time has given us many amazing and brilliant moments on-field. Besides his impeccable batting skills, it was his fearless attitude on-field, that gained him all the love and respect of the Indian fans.

However, Sourav Ganguly has now found himself at the receiving end of criticism and trolling for a Tweet that he posted after the Indian women cricket team lost the World Cup final to Australians.
The hopes and dreams of the Indian cricket fans to see our ‘women in blue’ winning their first-ever ICC Women’s T20 World Cup ended in a heartbreaking manner as they were defeated by the Australian cricket team by 85 runs. They were bundled up at 99 runs only as the much-anticipated match ended failed to live up to the expectations.

Following the loss, the complete Indian cricket fraternity took to their social media and showed their support to the Indian women’s team. Sourav Ganguly also joined the bandwagon and posted a Tweet for the Indian women lauding the efforts that they put throughout the tournament. Praising the Indian women team, Sourav Ganguly wrote:
“Well done the Women’s team @bcci @JayShah .. Two back to back World Cup finals .. but we lost .. u we’re super .. we will get there someday .. love the team and players”

However, his Tweet didn’t go down well with the Indian cricket fans who are now trolling him left, right and center for tagging ‘Jay Shah’, who is BCCI secretary and son of Amit Shah, in his Tweet.
Here, check out the reactions of Twitterati on this:

Never imagined Prince of Kolkata will one day sound like a paid sycophant, a third grade side kick of Jay Shah. https://t.co/ZbVdhfvata

Didn’t knew Jay Shah is part of women’s team ,I mean there is limit of sycophancy

Dada is losing his respect, sad but true. Everyone is criticising him for tagging Jay Shah. It’s not a good sign for a fighter like Sourav Ganguly. https://t.co/vFs6bjVm97

— Sourav (@souravian) March 8, 2020

At what position Jay Shah bat yesterday in the World Cup Finals ?? https://t.co/jswAnJZWKZ

— Jagan Patimeedi (@JAGANTRS) March 9, 2020

If Jay Shah continues to play such great cricket Indian team will soon win the WC.. ?

Seriously, dumbing down of dada has begun! It’s the only thing to credit Jay Shah for here

I congratulate Jay Shah for scoring 80 Crore runs from 50,000 balls..

— Vinay Kumar Dokania (@VinayDokania) March 8, 2020

Ok but what’s Jay Shah got to do with it? Is he going to get you an extension and one for himself at BCCI? Two legendary cricketers, Saurav Ganguly and Jay Shah lol https://t.co/if659pUE14

— Shivam Vij (@DilliDurAst) March 8, 2020

Sourav was the man who taught us all to have a spine. Sad to see the man totally losing his own spine now, coming across as such a pathetic reflection of his formal upright self.

PS: Jay Shah played well, of course. https://t.co/L5B9MxELV0

1. Why did you tag Jay Shah?
2. Please disable autocorrect. https://t.co/52ntOZ1DfY
