IPL 2018: Chennai Super Kings registered a memorable win against the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) at Chinnaswamy stadium in Bangalore and it was that man MS Dhoni, once again, who did his magic with the bat and snatched the victory from jaws of defeat.
RCB were asked to bat first after MS Dhoni won the toss and the star of Bangalore AB de Villiers entertained the huge crowd with his outstanding batting and helped RCB post a big total of 205 runs.
Ambati Rayudu started well for Chennai but kept losing partners at the other end, until MS Dhoni arrived to the middle and formed a stead partnership with him. Both, Rayudu and Dhoni, batted brilliantly and kept the asking run rate under a check for the major part of their partnership. But, unfortunately for CSK, Rayudu got run-out courtesy a good direct hit by Umesh Yadav and the asking rate went up in the last couple of overs.
But, as they say, MS Dhoni is cool as a cucumber and he, along with Dwayne Bravo, didn’t panic and sealed a memorable win for their franchise and fans. However, during the match, the fans on Twitter kept trolling Ravindra Jadeja, who has not contributed much with his skills in the IPL 2018 so far.
Ravindra Jadeja was retained by CSK and fans have huge hopes from him, but his performance so far has been below average. In the match against RCB, Jadeja bowled 2 overs and gave 22 runs and failed miserably with the bat despite being getting promoted to number 4 position, ahead of MS Dhoni and DJ Bravo. He scored just 3 runs off 5 balls.
