He returned with figures of 1/41 in the final, which included the wicket of Harjas, who was Australia’s top-scorer of the innings. This scalp took his wickets tally in the tournament to 18, and he finished as the joint-second-highest in the competition, behind South Africa’s Kwena Maphaka.
India and Australia met in the Under-19 World Cup 2024 final on Sunday at Willowmoore Park in Benoni. India has been unbeaten in the tournament and left-arm spinner Pandey has been a major reason for that. Pandya nipped out 18 wickets in 7 games at an average of only 10.27 and an economy of 2.68, simply jaw-dropping numbers.
