Over the years, the Indian cricket team has produced many legendary cricketers including the likes of Kapil Dev, Virat Kohli, MS Dhoni, Sachin Tendulkar, and many more. While Sachin Tendulkar is regarded as the ‘God of Cricket’, on the other hand, the current Indian captain Virat Kohli is regarded as the modern-day legend of this game.

Over the years, both the cricketers have inspired many youngsters, who want to make it big in the cricket field. However, the two are often compared with each other and the comparison between the two has become a regular affair since Virat started to show impeccable consistency in all three formats of the game.

There has always been this never-ending debate going on between Sachin Tendulkar and Virat Kohli. The latest one to weigh in on the never-ending Virat Kohli vs Sachin Tendulkar is Umar Gul.

Recently, veteran Pakistani pacer Umar Gul, who has played with both Sachin Tendulkar and Virat Kohli, during his career, has named his favorite cricketer. Gul previously named his favorite Indian cricketer was the legendary Sachin Tendulkar but now it is current Indian skipper, Virat Kohli. He said:

“It was Sachin Tendulkar but currently, Virat Kohli is my favorite,”

Explaining the reason behind why he changed his favorite Indian cricketer from Sachin Tendulkar to Virat Kohli. He added:

“In the last 4-5 years, the way Virat Kohli has been performing, he is my favorite batsman. The way he has changed himself, his behavior on the field when he started playing against us to now has totally changed. His full concentration is on cricket now. It’s a pleasure to watch him bat; I enjoy it a lot,”
