The fans were left disappointed with the performance of the Indian skipper Virat Kohli, who once again failed to get going in the first T20I at the Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad and was dismissed for a five-ball duck. In order to clear the infield, Virat took the aerial route however, he could only manage to hit the ball straight in the hands of Chris Jordan at mid-off.

While the fans were disappointed with the performance of Virat Kohli, after he was dismissed without scoring any runs, on the other hand,  a recent tweet by the Uttarakhand Police referring to Virat Kohli’s performance during the India vs England T20 series has left many  fans angry and disappointed.

Uttarakhand Police took to their official Twitter account and took a hilarious dig at Virat Kohli’s poor show against England. In their tweet, the cops decided to draw the attention towards rash driving, while poking fun at the Indian skipper.

“A helmet is not enough! It is necessary to drive in full consciousness. Otherwise, like Kohli, you too can be out on zero,” read the tweet in Hindi,

The tweet soon went viral and was flooded with the reactions from the fans. However, the tweet obviously didn’t go down well with the fans, who started trolling and slamming the Uttrakhand Police for their tweet. Many called this tweet ‘rude’ and ‘a disgrace’.

One user wrote, “this isn’t a good way to teach or aware someone by criticising a person for his bad performance on the field.” While another twitter user said, “Unreal disrespect towards someone who won your country most number of games in the previous 8-10 years.’

And soon Uttrakhand Police deleted their tweet after receiving a lot of backlash. Here, check out the reactions of Twitterati on this:
