After Pakistan defeated India in the final of ICC Champions Trophy 2017, their fans were over the moon. India vs Pakistan is always a massive game for fans from both sides of the border, but the grand final of Champions Trophy made an unforgettable moment for Pakistan cricket fans.
While majority of the fans celebrated the win in the right way, there were a few crazy ones who took joy in insulting Indian cricketers when they were returning back to the pavilion. A video made by Pakistani fans, which was posted by ‘CricketWallah’ on Facebook, has gone viral. In this video a Pakistani fan can be heard saying insulting things to Indian cricketer when they were going back to the pavilion after the post-match presentation ceremony.
From Kohli to Dhoni, he made derogating remarks on almost every Indian cricketer who passed by. While all other Indian cricketers ignored him, fast bowler Mohammed Shami couldn’t take it and he went towards him. But, former Indian captain MS Dhoni came at the right time and took Shami along with him to the pavilion.
While it’s great to celebrate the success of your team, it is also very important to understand that we don’t cross the line. Fans from both sides of the border must learn to accept defeats and victories gracefully. Watch the video here:
