Virat Kohli is indeed the best batsman in contemporary cricket but when you talk about the most lethal cricketer in the modern day game, there’s just one name, AB De Villiers.

AB De Villiers is a sportsman of a different class who can destroy even the best bowlers of the world. He was seen at his destructive best once again and this time it was the Ram Slam T20 challenge that witnessed his assault with the bat.

De Villiers made sure that the crowd finds every bit of worth from the price paid for tickets as he went on to hit a staggering half century of just 19 balls at the centurion. It was the third game of the domestic T20 league where the Lions were up against the Titans and AB along with Albie Morkel steered the Titans to a handsome 8 wicket victory.

The lions batted first and set up a target of 127 balls for the Titans in the 15 overs (game was shortened) For the lions RR Hendricks top scored with a stunning knock of 67 from just 42 balls. When the Titans came out to chase the total posted by Lions things seemed really easy as Mr 360 Degrees hit the Lions all around the park. De Villiers was accompanied by skipper Albie Morkel who played a handy knock of 41 from just 16 balls.

AB’s entire innings was a stunning delight to watch but one of his shots to Rabada brimmed with brilliance. It was the 12th over and the Titans just needed one run while AB De Villiers was on 44 from 18. He hit an unorthodox shot to Rabada which ended in a six and you got to say that he saved the best shot for the last.
