VIDEO: Ajinkya Rahane plays cricket like a gentleman

Cricket LoungeBy Cricket Lounge03/10/2016Updated:08/02/2023No Comments1 Min Read

Ajinkya Rahane showed ‘spirit of the game’ on Day 4 of the second Test match between India and New Zealand, when he told the umpire to review the catch he took at first slip, off Ravindra Jadeja’s bowling.

Rahane grabbed the ball brilliantly with just one hand but he was unsure about it. It happened so quickly that Indian cricket team started celebrating the wicket but Rahane immediately backed off and told the on-field umpire to review it.

The review showed that it wasn’t a clear catch as it bumped before going into Ajinkya Rahane’s catch. It is always good to watch the gentleman’s game is played in a gentlemanly manner. Well done, Ajinkya Rahane. Watch it here:
