Video: Cameron Green Grabs A Stunner To End The Entertaining Cameo Of Rishabh Pant

Batsmen throwing away their wickets after a great start – this has been the story of India’s first innings so far.  After Rohit Sharma, Ajinkya Rahane, Mayank Agarwal, it was the Indian keeper-batsman Rishabh Pant who began with an amazing start however couldn’t convert it to a big number.

Rishabh Pant’s entertaining and promising knock came to a premature end, all thanks to the stunning grab by Cameron Green at gully.

Rishabh Pant was looking in fine form and looked all set to score a big number by taking the attack of the Australian bowlers on Day 3 of the ongoing fourth Test match against Australia. However, he was soon sent back to the pavilion by Josh Hazlewood.

Rishabh had already smashed two boundaries and was tackling the Aussies brilliantly during his innings of 23 runs. However, just when it looked like Rishabh Pant had set his mantle on the field and could hang around for more, Pant was dismissed off a stunning grab by Green.

The dismissal took place on the fifth delivery of the 67th over when Rishabh went after a shot of a length delivery off Hazlewood. The Indian batsman was looking to smash the ball to the boundary but the ball went straight towards Cameron Green, who showed some athletism at gully and pulled off a stunning catch diving towards his left.

The video of the dismissal was shared by the official Twitter handle of Cricket Australia. Here, watch the video:

Cameron Green said he’s never been a gully fielder … well, he’s not getting out of there any time soon!

Meanwhile, the series is leveled at 1-1 and Australia posted a huge total of 369 runs at the Gabba. Team India desperately needs something special from the lower order to take down the Australian lead to a manageable level.
