New Zealand’s opening batsman Colin Munro smashed the second fastest fifty in T20I cricket, in the second T20I against Sri Lanka on Sunday. Chasing a target of 142 runs in 20 overs, Munro got New Zealand off to a cracking start. Munro reached his fifty off just 14 balls and now holds the record for the fastest fifty by a Kiwi batsman in T20I cricket, and second fastest overall, only behind India’s Yuvraj Singh who scored fifty off just 12 balls in 2007 T20 World Cup.
