Dale Steyn broke the stump into two pieces like a ‘pencil’, during the first ODI between South Africa and New Zealand. Black Caps tail-ender Mitch McClenaghan was getting out of the way when South African speedster Daly Steyn came charging in to bowl. McClenaghan was already on 16, not bad for a No.10, but he wasn’t taking any risks standing in the way of the last ball of Steyn’s over with New Zealand still needing 21-runs to win.

He took a step back and made a full-blooded swing and this is what happened:
