Sunday turned out special for Australian cricketer David Warner for not one but two reasons. David Warner wasn’t only celebrating his 33rd birthday but he also played his first international game at home after he served the one-year ban.

Playing against Sri Lanka in the first of the three T20Is, David Warner scored his first T20I hundred. He was in exceptional form on Sunday as he gave a tough time to the bowlers of Sri Lanka and smashed them in all the corners of the ground.

The Australian batsman reached his hundred on the very final ball of the innings and remained unbeaten on exactly hundred off 56 balls. He smashed 10 fours and four sixes. He impressed one and all with his stunning ton. But that’s not it.

David Warner, after stealing the hearts of his fans, had come up with a beautiful gesture on the field. While making his way towards the dressing room, Warner gifted his gloves to a child, leaving him and others in shock.

The video of the same has been making rounds on the internet. Here, check out the video of the beautiful gesture :

After receiving his man of the match award, David Warner said:

“It means a lot to contribute to the team and put us in great position. It was a good milestone, but got a great total on the board and it’s always tough to chase a big one in Australia. Sometimes it’d be tough with no rotation of strike. One of us had to go hard against the new ball. Pradeep’s skills are excellent, he’s a world class Test player I reckon. You forget how busy the schedule actually is. You always get good support here in Australia. We thrive on people coming and watching us,”
