VIDEO: David Warner’s historic hundred at Sydney Cricket Ground

Australia’s swashbuckling opener David Warner smashed a brilliant hundred on day 1 of the ongoing third Test match between Australia and Pakistan. David Warner has smashed many hundreds in his Test career but he will always remember this one as he became only the fifth batsman in Test cricket history to score a hundred before lunch on day 1 of a Test match. Warner took just 78 balls to reach his hundred. It is the fourth time Warner has made a Test century in fewer than 100 balls.

Warner batted very aggressively and started hitting boundaries right from the word go. Warner played good conventional strokes and made Pakistan’s bowling attack look ordinary. With this hundred, David Warner became the first batsman to score a hundred before lunch on day 1 of a Test match on Australian soil.
