England’s ODI captain Eoin Morgan stunned one and all with his outstanding display of batting in the Big Bash League (BBL) match between Sydney Thunders and Melbourne Stars. Morgan smashed 71 runs off just 50 balls and guided Sydney Thunder to one of the most memorable wins in BBL history.

Morgan, who is known for his big hitting, smashed a massive six off the last ball of the match and won the game for his team. With 5 runs needed off 1 ball, Melbourne Stars’ Ben Hilfenhaus bowled a full delivery that was dispatched way back into the stands over the bowler’s head for a massive six.

The whole stadium erupted that Morgan smashed one of the most memorable sixes of his career. Morgan hadn’t the impact that one would expect from a player of his caliber, in the first half of the tournament, but in his final match before leaving for England’s 3-match One Day International (ODI) series against India staring for January 15th, Morgan played one of the most memorable knocks in BBL history.

Morgan came to the crease in the sixth over with the score at 2-42 and paced his innings brilliantly. Morgan kept his cool till the last ball and smashed a gigantic six of Ben Hilfenhuas bowling to keep Sydney Thunder alive in the tournament. Watch the video here:
