India lost the first match of the ongoing One Day International (ODI) series against by wickets, but Rohit Sharma played a knock that he will remember for a very long time. Former Indian cricketer VVS Laxman said that it is the best ODI knock that he has ever seen by an Indian batsman in Australia. Batting first on a wicket that was good for batting, Rohit (171*) played with a very positive frame of mind and didn’t allow the Australian bowlers to settle in the middle. He was well supported by the vice-captain Virat Kohli, who scored a brilliant 91.
