Before the start of the fifth Test in Chennai, players from both the teams, India and England, observed a minute of silence as a mark of respect for former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa, who passed on December 5th 2016.
Players also wore black armbands as a mark of respect. J Jayalalithaa aka Amma, was one of the most loved and respected leaders in India. Amma was loved by one and all in Tamil Nadu and her passing away has left a big hole in Tamil Nadu’s politics.
