Video: Ishant Sharma Takes The First Wicket At Narendra Modi Cricket Stadium

India’s bowling mainstay Ishant Sharma, who is playing his 100th Test, opened the game in style for team India as he proved why he is regarded as one of the best in the longest format of the game. On day 1 of the ongoing Pink Test match against England at the Motera Stadium (now Narendra Modi Cricket Stadium), Ishant picked a wicket off his ninth delivery.

As the game began on Day 1, Ishant Sharma walked in to open the bowling for team India. He bowled a maiden over to begin the proceedings. However, in the second over, Ishant overstepped while delivering the third ball but he bounced back quickly as he was successful in getting rid of Dom Sibley.

Ishant was able to find the edge of Dom Sibley’s bat while Rohit made no mistake at the second slip as India sent Dom Sibley back to the pavilion before he could open his account.

He made Dom Sibley uncomfortable from the very first ball he delivered. The English opener didn’t score a single run off Jasprit Bumrah’s six deliveries, however, he eventually lost his wicket to Ishant.  The video of the wicket has been going viral on social media.  Here, watch the video:

Meanwhile, as India is playing against England on Day 1 of the Pink-Test match, Ishant Sharma became the only pacer after the legendary Kapil Dev to feature in 100 Tests for India. Earlier before the game began, Ishant received a cap from Union Home Minister Amit Shah. Both Shah and President Ram Nath Kovind felicitated Ishant on reaching a major milestone in Test cricket. The video of the same was shared by the official handle of BCCI. Here, watch the video:
